Wooden Venetian Blinds

Wooden Venetian Blinds - A Great Option For Your Window Treatments

Wooden Venetian blinds can give your home a nice warm and welcoming look. They look so much nicer than many vinyl or metal blinds. However, they are a lot more expensive, so many people settle for these lesser options, or for 2 inch faux wood blinds, which have a similar appearance to the wood window blinds without the high price tag. Those who really want to go all out might purchase plantation wood blinds.

People like wooden Venetian blinds because they give a lot of control over the amount of light that is let into the room. Not only can you raise and lower the blinds, you can rotate the slats to let in some light while retaining some of your privacy. Venetian blinds are some of the more popular types of blinds as well, so most people are familiar with them, having had them in some form or another in the past. Many apartments, for example, use the vinyl or metal blinds of this type on the windows since these are one of the less expensive window treatments available.

Choosing wooden Venetian blinds can take some time since there are a number of different options. You can get woven wood blinds, vertical blinds, horizontal blinds, cordless blinds, blinds to fit a window with an arch, premium wood blinds, bamboo wood blinds, natural wood blinds, or black wood blinds. These blinds are also available with slats of different widths, so you have to decide whether you want ones with narrow slats or wider slats. You will need to choose the type that will best suit your budget and the decor of your home.

Different manufacturers will have different options for the woods that these blinds are made of, the finishes that are applied, and the sizes and extra features that are available. It is always wise to do some comparison shopping, so check out the offerings of companies like Bass, Graber, Bali, and Levolor. If you don't see what you are looking for, you can always get custom wooden Venetian blinds made to your specifications. In this way you can get exactly what you want.
